TIL Therapy Unveiled: Exploring the Landscape of Cancer Immunotherapy

TILs therapy involves extracting tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), which are the most precise natural anti-tumor immune cells in the patient's body, from a tumor and cultivating them in large numbers in a lab. These activated TILs are then reintroduced into the patient's body to bolster the immune system's ability to target and kill cancer cells. TILs work by recognizing specific markers on cancer cells and launching an immune response against them, ultimately leading to tumor destruction.

    What is Tils Therapy?

    Clinical results of Tils Therapy

Based on our clinical treatment results, the overall efficacy of TILs monotherapy reaches as high as 40%, making it the most effective tumor treatment method apart from surgery currently available.Bioocus tailors comprehensive treatment plan for each individual patient. One or several therapies will be combined with Tils therapy, which will increase the overall effective rate to more than 80%. The combined therapy aims to reduce the tumor load in the short term, and tils provide an opportunity for the patient to get cure in the long run.

    Advantages of Tils Therapy

High specificity: tumor specific T cells sensitized by tumor antigens, recognized by multiple TCRs

Strong tropism: high expression of chemokine receptors, strong tumor tropism, and faster action

Killing tumors: TILs are activated and amplified to 109-1011, and residual cancer cells are cleared after surgery

Continuous effect: The proportion of memory T cells is high, and they can survive in the body for a long time and be continuously monitored

High safety: extraction, amplification, no rejection reaction, and SAE of TILs cells from patients themselves

    Indications for Tils Therapy

Tils therapy proved effective in NSCLC(non-small cell lung cancer), Melanoma, Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, and Ovarian Cancer.

Which tissues can be used to extract TILs?

Apart from surgical extraction of the primary tumor, superficial tumor tissue, lymph nodes, pleural effusion, ascites, etc., can also be attempted for extraction. The effectiveness ranking is as follows: primary lesion ≥ metastatic lesion ≥ lymph nodes ≥ ascites.

Can all patients successfully cultivate TILs?

Our independently developed TILs cultivation process achieves a success rate of ≥85%. With a normal tissue sample of ≥1cm3, billions of TILs can be cultivated, and the cells exhibit strong cytotoxic activity."

    Side effects of TILs therapy?

1.TILs are the patient's own cells, so there is no risk of rejection, ensuring high safety.

    2. Adverse reactions: Fever is common (due to the release of cytokines during TILs cell-mediated tumor clearance, causing transient fever, usually requiring no specific treatment and resolving on its own).

3.Other adverse reactions reported in studies include thrombocytopenia, febrile neutropenia, hypertension, etc., mostly attributed to TILs in combination with other drugs such as pre-treatment chemotherapy (cyclophosphamide + fluorouracil), high-dose IL-2, PD-1 monoclonal antibodies, etc.
