Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center
The Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center is one of the earliest four cancer hospitals established in New China. It is one of the largest oncology bases in the country, with strong academic strength, integrating medical care, teaching, research, and prevention. It currently has two campuses in Yuexiu and Huangpu, with a total of 2152 open beds. With leading medical technology, it boasts an Asia-leading radiotherapy center with state-of-the-art hardware and software conditions, and conducts various specialty robot-assisted minimally invasive surgeries. In 1998, it pioneered the implementation of a chief expert responsibility system for single disease in oncology nationwide and formulated comprehensive interdisciplinary treatment plans for major diseases. Over the past five years, more than 71 research achievements from frontline clinical practice have been internationally recognized and adopted by global oncology diagnostic and treatment standards and guidelines, providing personalized and high-quality diagnosis and treatment services to a large number of cancer patients.
