Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University, established in 1956, is a Grade-III Class-A hospital renowned for healthcare, education, medical research, and public rescue services. With over 3300 beds and a well-structured framework, the hospital hosts several research platforms, including the National Drug Clinical Trial Base, the Ministry of Health's Digestive Endoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Training Base, and key laboratories in tumor biology behavior, gastrointestinal diseases, transplantation medicine, traditional Chinese medicine endocrinology, cerebrovascular diseases, and cognitive impairments recognized by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Oncology is a key discipline supported by the "985 Project" and the "211 Project," while urology, oncology, critical care medicine, and clinical nursing are designated as national key clinical disciplines.
