On June 18, 2026, the patient received an indigenously prepared anti-CD19 CAR-T cell infusion, produced locally in Pakistan using technology and process know-how transferred from BIOOCUS. By Day +14, the patient achieved a measurable residual disease (MRD)-negative complete remission, and was discharged in good condition on July 3, 2026.

This outcome represents more than an individual clinical success—it signals the establishment of a functioning CAR-T manufacturing and treatment capability within Pakistan itself, reducing the need for patients with relapsed or refractory hematologic malignancies to seek advanced cellular therapy abroad. For patients who have exhausted conventional treatment avenues, indigenous access to CAR-T therapy offers a critical new option that is otherwise limited to a small number of centers worldwide.
