University Research

In 1940, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China’s first science and engineering university was founded in Yan’an by the Communist Party of China. It has been one of the key universities in China since the founding of New China and the first batch of universities which has recognized as national “211 Project”, “985 Project” and the “Top A World-class University”.

School of life science was one of the key schools in BIT. Biology and medicine research, biomedical engineering and biomedical research are the main research area. School of life science has inherited numerous of national research project, obtained more than 50 million RMB research fund.

Nowadays, BIT school of life science is at the leading domestic level in many areas, including biomedical research, biomedical engineering and innovative diagnosis and treatment.
